California Governorship (Should be One Sided)

Not only have us Californians had to deal with seven years of budget cuts, and education setbacks, as well as billions in debt under current Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, but now we have to deal with Governor hopeful business owner Meg Whitman. You know Meg Whitman, the billionaire business tycoon who founded Ebay Incorporated and built it from the ground up starting with as little as fifteen employees. That story is all well and good, but over the past few months I, along with a lot of other fellow Californians have lost respect for her due to the fact that she basically has bought her way to the top. Whitman has spent millions of her money on negative ads against her rival Jerry Brown, made herself look bad by making faces when Brown speaks at debates and she always has a smart allic comment about California and makes it seem as if she knows what she is talking about but in reality she has no clue. Since we are in debt right now, and social security is running out and child care workers are being laid off and schools in general are losing staff and closing down, we need the new Governor to be someone with tons of experience, a proven track record, and the ability to get the state of California back in the flow of things and back to where it was years ago as one of the best states in the United States of America. I love this state, I have grown up here, started a life here, done it all here in California, and I want my next Governor to be someone I can trust, and I can tell you that I trust an experienced career politician over a savvy business owner any day of the week. How will a business owner with business ethics and the ability to negotiate out of anything be able to get us out of billions of debt? Or how will a business owner be able to get California's school back and running and educating the future of this country? In my opinion, I do not see it happening, Whitman can only do so much, and being the Governor is too tall of a task for her at this point. I am endorsing Jerry Brown because of the experience he has, the ability he has shown in the past, and the know how to know what he is doing without guidance or a nudge. Here's to hoping the next Governor of California is a voice we can trust. Jerry Brown for California Governor! When that day comes, I, as a fellow Californian, will be able to sleep better.

I'm Barely Back!!!

hello there everyone,

sorry I took so long. I have decided to just hang out for a little while and not play poker. I've been so busy with watching baseball and now my grandma dying recently that i've decided to take a few months off of poker altogether. I tried only playing once a week or once every two weeks but that did not even work. So now i'm just going to relax, take a deep breath, and now just enjoy my life without the stress. I will put this on hold probably a little while longer. Hope to catch all of you later. take care!!

Update! Update!!

I have officially reached my 300th dollar playing online poker. it took a couple weeks due to all the bad beats but it finally occurred. Even though my pocket aces got cracked several times along the way, including tonight, i still managed to get there. there will be plenty of dollars left coming my way as well. I am finally going to get my just desserts let me tell you. Tonight though I was on fire. I came home exhausted from window shopping at Ikea furniture store and I managed to do really well in my first tournament of the day and night. I finally got down to the last twenty something people and I had the best starting hand of them all, Pocket Aces. But what happened?? just my luck, i call someone's all in and then the third guy in the hand takes a few minutes to think about it and then eventually calls me. What did he call me with you ask?? You'll never guess, Queen Jack suited of diamonds is the answer. Yes I know pretty brutal right? long story short, he turns a fourth diamond and then i'm crippled. I fought back alright but it just wasn't enough. Oh well, that's poker right? Or so they say vividly. Til next time. See ya at the Felt!!

Bad Bad Bad!!

Man oh man! Hello there readers, I've had such a bad week card playing wise. Let me tell you why. I suddenly, out of nowhere, started getting all my chips in the middle with a winning hand, and then out of nowhere the turn or river will cause my hand to cheapen and give them the win. It makes no sense to me. My classic remembrance of this was the other night I had 10-7 suited. Not a really good hand preflop, but I love playing hands like that because when they're suited they go up in value so I decide to give them a try every time. Anyway, I flop three of a kind sevens, so I decide to slowplay it knowing I have the best hand. (or so I thought) The two guys I am facing bet out and call one another but then I raise them and as soon as I did that I lost one of them. Still thinking I have the best hand I wait for the turn card and then bet real high. When he called me I figured something was up. The river card comes, I push him all in, he calls me and he flips over a full boat that he had made on the flop. I couldn't believe it and he had crippled me. That was unreal! I was thinking to myself "how do things like that happen"? When I figured it couldn't get any worse, my pocket aces lose to a made flush on the turn card a couple hands later. Just goes to show you that right when you think something great happens to you, someone else has something even greater happening to them. Don't take your poker starting hands for granted, just pay attention to the action around you and go with your gut instinct. In my case I was wrong but you should pay to see no matter what just so that you don't go to bed that night thinking you were had by a good con man. Til next time. See you at the felt!!!

Delay!!

Sorry about not being around in a long time. I had some family issues. Still played cards everyday though. Still was on the computer almost every minute of the day. Took a few hours off during the day for myself and to spend time with family of course but overall I still played roughly the same amount of hours daily. I now start at 3:30 in the PM because that is when the big money tournaments start in the afternoon and plus I don't really like getting up early and playing right after I wake up because I can't fully concentrate that way. I have some good news, I officially won my 200th dollar playing online poker yesterday. Yes, thats' right, my 200th dollar. It only took me 49 days (which is 7 weeks) to do it. Not bad considering my other ventures as well. (I had two online accounts going). I am pretty proud of myself for that one. I really am. I will continue to play online poker. My buddy went to Tahoe with his girlfriend recently to visit her father and he told me when he got back how beautiful it was. I told him I might go in November for that WSOP Circuit Event they have going on at Harvey's casino. I hope I do well, would love a pile of cash and some respect in this world that's for sure. Oh, I am going to start double blogging soon. On Sundays from now on I'm going to double blog about poker instead of just one. Doing it to maximize my hits on my website. Let's see if it works. Got to go play a tournament now. Til next time!! See you at the felt!!

Crazy Happenings!!

hello there, hope my readers last few days have been as fun as mine. I'm not only increasing my bankroll everyday that passes but I'm also earning money and recieving very nice checks that have been arriving in my mailbox as of late. Nothing better than getting paid for your talent huh? I just opened up an account at Pokerstars.com. I just realized through some research of my own, that Pokerstars.com is the real money version of Pokerstars and that Pokerstars.net (the one heavily advertised on television) is the one that is the play money website. I always though Pokerstars.net was the only one but I guess I was wrong. I knew they were the top sites for real money accounts but I never could find the Cashier button and now I know why, because I wasn't using Pokerstar.com. Amazing how things work out in life huh? anywho, I'm probably going to play a whole heck lot of tournaments today, and flirt with random women which I love to do. Oh brother, nothing better in life right now. Til next time.....See you at the felt!!

Yay and Nay!!!

Sorry about not getting back to you the last couple nights. I've been forgetting, plus I was rather exhausted last night, mentally exhausted that is. I played in a million tournaments the last few days combined and I had some successes and some failures. I was very excited because two mornings ago I won a tournament. I ran into the kitchen and gave my mom the hugest hug ever after it occurred. The very next morning I made another final table and came in second only in the winner take all tournament. That's okay though, I still gave my opponent a run for his you know what. Bad beats, turns and rivers not cooperating with me, and everything could have been different. I'm good enough to win every tournament I enter because I have the skills necessary, but it doesnt happen because you can't help how the cards fall that's for sure. I went to Amazon earlier today and I am probably going to buy a few poker books. I already have mastered no limit hold'em, so I think I will try my hand at Triple Draw Lowball, Razz, and Omaha 8 or Better. Those three games I don't know very well. I tried to teach myself once upon a blue moon but that just never happened the right way. Anywho, got to go! Another tourney about to start. Til next time! See you at the felt!!
